Louie and Matt met several years ago through the Engineers Without Borders chapter of UC Irvine (http://www.ewb-uci.org/index.html). Since then, we've done two long distance bike tours (see Previous Bike Tours section) and numerous mountain biking and camping trips.
Louie - I grew up in Newport Beach, CA although I consider France my mother country. I studied engineering at the University of California, Irvine graduating in June 2011. I then spent almost 3 years working as an energy engineer in Pennsylvania and New York developing energy efficiency solutions for all sorts of businesses and factories based on the East Coast.
Trip Goals:
Matt - After graduating with an engineering degree, I worked for 3 years in bicycle transportation planning, I enjoyed working but I enjoyed the bike ride to and from work a great deal also. This trip is a way to mix things up getting out of the working routine and explore the world!
