Bike Shop Retailers
Bike Religion has provided tips, how to information and expert advice for a lot of our touring gear. This trip is in large part to the guys at the shop who gave us the extra time to make sure we were well prepared for this journey.
Downtube Bicycle Works has similarly provided us with tips and advice on long distance bike touring. Louie's Surly Long Haul Trucker was purchased at this store as well as other vital equipment necessary for this trip.
Joe's Bike Shop in Baltimore provided us with some solid help in regards to the third most important component of the bike (behind the bike and the paniers)...the racks. Surly Nice Front and Rear racks were purchased for this trip due to their strong material composition (100% steel) and solid recommendations from past bike tourers.
The Path Bike Shop functions as a traditional bike shop with parts for swapping, good service and spirit about bikes. They exceeded our expectations on what a bike shop can offer and we are grateful for their existence. Matt's Surly Long Haul Trucker was purchased at this store.
